James Connor

At just 17, James Connor was the youngest male in the Australian diving team at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Connor contested the 10m platform after finishing second to Matthew Mitcham at the Australian nomination trials. In London, he finished 20th in the preliminary round and narrowly missed a berth in the semi-final.

Early Achievements and Education

  • School: Attended Wheelers Hill Campus from 2008 to 2010.
  • Commonwealth Games 2010: At 15, Connor was the youngest Australian male ever to compete in the 10m Platform at a Commonwealth Games, finishing ninth.

Olympic Performances

  • 2012 London Olympics:
    • Event: 10m platform.
    • Result: Finished 20th in the preliminary round, narrowly missing the semi-final.
  • 2016 Rio Olympics:
    • Event: 10m platform.
    • Result: Improved to 15th place in the semi-final, narrowly missing the final by just three places.
