In 2024, the Caulfield Grammarians Rowing Club took on an incredible challenge – the Royal Flying Doctor Service Rowathon. Together, they raised $3,000 for this vital organisation, with members rowing an impressive 25km each and some going the extra mile to complete a gruelling 50km. This was more than just a physical feat – it was a testament to the team’s dedication, resilience, and commitment to giving back. In 2024, the CGA Athletics Club showcased incredible dedication and endurance, competing in the APSOC Association’s 85th season. With 10 exciting races from April to September, the year was filled with memorable moments. Highlights included the fast-paced 5km race at Scotch College and hosting an 8km race at Wheelers Hill, where runners tackled the demanding Jells Park course. This season was a true celebration of athleticism, camaraderie, and community spirit. With Remembrance Day fast approaching, the CGA looks back at November 11th, Caulfield Campus in 1982. Guest Speaker, Commodore Alan Robertson (CGS 1938-39) with Mr. Vic Allen, Acting CGS Headmaster and students. 150 crosses were placed on the lawn by Year 7 students. Each represents a past student who died in war in Australia's armed forces. This was printed in The Caulfield Grammarian 1982 page 19 with text of speech by Commodore Alan Robertson.
