Job Description
The Caulfield Grammarians’ Association (CGA) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic full-time Marketing and Events Specialist to join our small team. The position will be based in our St Kilda East office five days a week (with the ability to work from home two days a week). After-hours work as required to deliver events.
The CGA has a long and proud history as one of the oldest alumni associations in Australia, having served our community since 1885. All past students of Caulfield Grammar School automatically become lifelong members of our Association and have access to a range of opportunities including alumni networking and mentoring, reunion and other events, alumni news and much more.
This exciting role is perfect for a dedicated Marketing and Events Specialist who is looking to make a difference in a small not-for-profit including: event management, marketing (digital and print), communications, database and administration.
We are seeking a team player who can take initiative and has a ‘can do’ attitude. You will have good attention to detail and the ability to identify opportunities for business improvements and implement processes and efficiencies. This role will require excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with a passion for what they do and an ability to innovate and think outside the box.
Main duties include (but are not limited to):
- Deliver reunion and other events including: Reunions, Career/networking events, young alumni, key-note addresses, VIP/experiential events, School events
- All events are planned and managed from end-to-end following agreed timelines, deliverables and KPI’s
- Develop marketing and communications plans and campaigns
- Source, write, edit, proof and publish content for the CGA’s digital and print platforms including; web, social media, EDM’s, E-newsletter, alumni magazine, school platforms/intranet, events material, webinars, podcasts, video
- Update and assist in the management and processes for the alumni database and third-party systems
- Support the Marketing and Events Manager to efficiently run the CGA Office by assisting with administration, systems and processes
- Contribute to alumni engagement initiatives through involvement in planning, problem-solving and innovative solutions
- Manage and assist with special projects/programs such as Young Alumni Ambassadors Program
Must have:
- Minimum undergraduate qualification (in events, marketing, communications, multimedia/digital etc.)
- 2-3 years full-time relevant experience
- Excellent event and project management skills
- Attention to detail, ability to take initiative and work independently
- Excellent general administration skills and ability to use/update database and systems
- Well-developed interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to work after hours
- Excellent website, social media and digital marketing skills
- Excellent written communication skills (print & digital)
- Experience working with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube
- Experience working with the following systems preferable but not mandatory: Salesforce, Synergetic, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, Ninja Forms, Xero, VistaSocial, WordPress
- Working With Children’s Check
- Driver’s License and Car
