Photo of the Month: CGS & Shelford – Godspell, 1981.
Do you remember the shared production of Godspell? It was directed by CGS staff, Warren Bates with a large cast including six Shelford students. The role of Jesus was played by Michael Taylor, and the roles of Judas and John the Baptist, by Andrew Beresford. Can you help identify the students in this photograph? Please email archives@caulfieldgs.vic.edu.au

2025 marks 80 years since the end of Second World War with Victory in the Pacific on 8 May 1945 and 40 years since the disbanding of the CGS Cadet unit in 1985. A great opportunity to examine cadet memorabilia and WW2 correspondence and information in our collection. I’m keen to hear from past students who would like to share some memories of cadets or photographs. Did you attend camps? Spend hours learning to march and drill? Was your platoon the winner of the Captain H. McD Shaw trophy for Annual Platoon Championship started in 1942? Collected information will be gathered with a goal to collate a short history of the unit prepared with the assistance of Archives Volunteer and past CGS cadet, Dr Daryl Moran. To make contact email archives@caulfieldgs.vic.edu.au or ring the Archives office (03) 9524 6249.
